State Officials Announce Latest COVID-19 Facts
SACRAMENTO – Today, the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) released the most recent statistics on COVID-19 and updates on the state’s pandemic response.
Statewide COVID-19 Data as of Today
- California has 3,815,702 confirmed cases to date. Numbers may not represent true day-over-day change as reporting of test results can be delayed.
- There were 7,731 newly reported confirmed cases Monday.
- Cases are increasing statewide, largely among unvaccinated populations.

- For the week of July 7-14, the average case rate among unvaccinated Californians is 13 per 100,000 per day and the average case rate among vaccinated Californians is significantly lower at 2 per 100,000 per day.
- Between January 1 and July 14, 99% of the state’s cumulative cases have occurred among unvaccinated individuals.
- The 7-day positivity rate is 5.4%.
- There have been 73,135,751 tests conducted in California. This represents an increase of 128,412 during the prior 24-hour reporting period.
- There have been 63,811 COVID-19 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
- As of July 27, providers have reported administering a total of 43,568,444 vaccine doses statewide. The CDC reports that 49,473,615 doses have been delivered to entities within the state.
