State Officials Announce Latest COVID-19 Facts
SACRAMENTO – Today, the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) released the most recent statistics on COVID-19 and updates on the state’s pandemic response.
Note: When California fully reopens the economy on June 15, CDPH will continue to issue COVID-19 updates via news release Monday through Friday, but not on weekends and holidays. As always, data will be available and updated daily on both covid19.ca.gov and cdph.ca.gov/covid19.
Statewide COVID-19 Data as of Today
- California has 3,683,309 confirmed cases to date. Numbers may not represent true day-over-day change as reporting of test results can be delayed.
- There were 1,210 newly recorded confirmed cases Friday.
- The 7-day positivity rate is 0.9%.
- There have been 65,377,460 tests conducted in California. This represents an increase of 225,324 during the prior 24-hour reporting period.
- There have been 61,999 COVID-19 deaths since the start of the pandemic. Note: Today’s death number reflects updates or corrections to records that may have reclassified some reported deaths as non-COVID related, and therefore resulted in a negative number.
- As of May 29, providers have reported administering a total of 37,296,257 vaccine doses statewide. The CDC reports that 46,298,020 doses have been delivered to entities within the state.
